The simple rules for buying and using YouDeal.

1. Who we are
YouDeal is a till and management program for shops (sales, stock, product expiry dates and customer debts), made and sold by MZDEAL, LDA, a registered Mozambican company based in Maputo. These are the company's official details, as they appear in the documents issued by the Mozambican State:

By using this site or the program, you accept these terms. Contracts with customers (pro-forma invoices, licences and receipts) are issued in the name of MZDEAL, LDA and identified with NUIT 402090065.
2. What you are buying
You buy an annual licence to use the YouDeal program for one shop and up to 3 tills, for 12 months, with the updates and support of that period. The licence is personal and may not be sold, lent or shared with other shops. The program installs on your Windows computer and works without internet.
3. Free 15-day trial
You can try the program for 15 days without paying. After that, to keep recording sales, you need a licence.
4. Price and payment
- The price is the one shown on the site at the time of purchase: $8 per year, in US dollars (USD).
- $8 per year is a launch promotion, valid only for the first 100 businesses that buy the licence. After that, the price may change. Customers who have already paid keep their licence until the end of the year they paid for.
- On the English site you pay by PayPal (PayPal balance or card), using the button on the site. Payment is made on PayPal's page; we never see your card details. When PayPal confirms the payment, the licence is issued automatically.
- There is no automatic renewal: we never charge without the customer asking for it and confirming.
5. When the year ends
When the licence expires, the program switches to view-only mode: you can still see sales, stock and reports and export your data, but you cannot record new sales until you renew. We never delete your data.
6. Your data is yours
Your shop's data (sales, products, customers) stays on your computer. We do not receive it and we do not see it. The program can save backups to a folder the customer chooses (for example a OneDrive or Google Drive folder), but the customer is responsible for keeping backups and for protecting their computer and PINs.
7. Licence to use and intellectual property
YouDeal (the program, code, screen designs, name and logo) is the property of MZDEAL, LDA and is protected by copyright law. By paying, you do not buy the program: you buy a licence to use it, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, for your shop. For that reason, you may not:
- copy the program to other shops, sell it, rent it, lend it, give it away or put it up for download somewhere else;
- share or publish your licence code (YD1...), or use someone else's;
- take the program apart, decompile it, copy its code, extract parts of it or reverse-engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it;
- remove or change notices, or the YouDeal name or logo, or get around the 15-day trial, the expiry date or the licence check;
- use the program to build a product that is the same or similar to sell to third parties.
Your own data (sales, products, customers, and the logo, stamp and signature you upload) remains yours. If these rules are not followed, we may deactivate the licence without refunding the amount paid and demand compensation for damages, by any means Mozambican law allows.
8. Proper use
You may not use the program for illegal activities. If that happens, we may deactivate the licence.
9. Tax documents
Quotes, pro-forma invoices, receipts and till slips issued by the program are internal documents and do not replace the invoice certified by the Tax Authority. The customer remains responsible for their shop's tax obligations. Talk to your accountant.
10. Online licence check
The program works without internet. When the computer is online, YouDeal checks from time to time (about once a week) that your licence is still valid. To do this it sends only the licence number, an anonymous device code (a string of letters and numbers made from the computer's name; it is not your name or any shop data) and the program version. The licence is tied to up to 3 devices; if you change computer, ask us to release the old one. If the licence has been cancelled (for example because of a refund or misuse), the program switches to view-only mode. Without internet, nothing is blocked. Your shop's data is never sent.
11. 30-day guarantee
If you do not like it, we refund your money within 30 days of payment. See the details in the Refund policy.
12. Support
Support is given by WhatsApp and phone (872 844 733 / 842 844 731). We reply as quickly as we can. We explain how to install, use and recover backups.
13. Limits of our liability
We do our best to make the program work well, but no program is free of errors. We are not liable for indirect losses (for example profit you did not make) or for problems caused by lack of backups, computer failures or misuse. In any case, our liability does not exceed the amount you paid for the licence in the last 12 months.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force is always the one on this page, with the update date at the top. A licence already paid for keeps the conditions that applied when it was bought.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Mozambique. Any dispute that is not settled by agreement will be brought before the courts of Maputo.
